02 · The thinking

Why these parts?

01

Start with the upgrade path

The Ryzen 5 7600X and B850 motherboard establish an AM5 platform, so a future CPU upgrade does not automatically require a new motherboard and memory.

02

Keep the 16GB graphics card

The RX 9060 XT 16GB is the performance priority here. Its extra video memory provides more room for demanding textures and future games than the 8GB model.

03

Spend enough on the supporting parts

The dual-tower cooler, three-fan case, and 750W modular power supply make this a complete build—not a fast CPU and GPU surrounded by avoidable compromises.

03 · The honest tradeoffs

Know before you buy.

  • 16GB of system memory is a deliberate budget choice. It suits gaming and ordinary work, but heavy multitasking or creative workloads can benefit from 32GB.
  • The 1TB drive is a starting point; large game libraries may need a second SSD.
  • This is a 1080p-focused recommendation, not a promise of a particular frame rate in every game.
The upgrade path

When memory prices improve, replace the 2 × 8GB kit with a matched 2 × 16GB kit. Adding two more sticks may require a lower memory speed. Storage and the graphics card can also be upgraded independently.
